I have wanted to try Tony's idea of playing three tunes in a mini concert format for a while....finally had a some time on Sunday. I learned a lot from doing this...the good and the other:) Its also a good challenge to keep your focus for the duration...which I did most of the time. Also, no motor. Anyway, here is the program.

Here's the second tune we did at my vibes/accordion/guitar jam, "All the Things You Are".

I lowered the playback volume of BIAB so that the mics would not pick up as much of it and I would have a better mix with the original BIAB tracks. Unfortunately since it was too low, we got a little lost the meter, but I think we recovered. We decided to keep the track, and move on.

I"m doing a recording in Dusseldorf with David Friedman. We decided to make it a sort of live concert. But we'll only invite 20 people I think. Any VW members interested? Gonne be around Dusseldorf? Now sure if they are charging to tickets, I think they might be.

Let me know if you want to come? The audience will be in the recording studio with us. Matthais says there is room.

The recording is Monday, November 26, probably starting around 7 PM.

What's up vibesworkshop? As many of you know, I am up in Philly studying with the man himself, Tony Miceli. Tony and I spend a good deal of our lesson time in conversation about the instrument, music, and life. He asked me to start a blog and discuss things that I am working on and some concepts I use while arranging and playing. So this is entry numero uno. And I wanted to talk about arranging.

Does anyone have any suggestions of albums for guitar/vibes duos? I've been listening to Ralph Towner/Gary Burton and I'm looking for some other groups to listen to.
