Tom Harrell discusses the healing power of music

This is heavy stuff. If you don't know, Tom Harrell is schizophrenic. And as you can tell, it is to a serious debilitating degree. For him to overcome that and alcoholism, and continue to make music at the level he does is nothing short of incredible. This interview shows an incredibly deep and introspective side of a man who has suffered a lot. Even as a schizophrenic, I find the problems he describes going through resonated heavily with me because of my own experiences, and I'm sure many people feel the same way. Tom Harrell is one heavy guy.

Forum Topic: M46, M48 or M55?

Hey all,

I'm in the market for a new vibraphone and I've narrowed it down to three instruments, all Musser: the M46 One Nighter, M48 Pro Traveler and M55 Pro. I drive a Ford Explorer so having space in my car is not a big issue (I'm able to fit a 5 octave Yamaha marimba in my car). I'm about to start my junior year of college and I'm looking for an instrument that will serve me well as a professional musician but won't break the bank so I can afford grad school without taking out some crazy loans.

Behn's whole tone cycles etude by Dimitris Angelakis

Hello guys,
This is an improvise etude of the 3 series of whole tone cycles lesson. After of several days of hard work this came up. The first is on minor and the second on dominant. I know it needs of work but this is my best etude and I know that I sometimes don't hit the right notes of the triads but I hope you find this interesting (especially Behn hahahahah)...so, enjoy!

Thanks
Dimitris
