Some of you know James Whiting, our "young" and yet serious member from Australia. Last year James recently released a CD under his own name: www.vibesworkshop.com/node/5267/
Then he switched to Musical... even getting to dance on them! ;-) Here is a picture of his set for Hairspray, the Musical he's currently playing in. Thought I'd share it, and give you some fresh news from Australia! Go James! :o)

Was driving home in my car the other day and this tune came on the radio, man it just blew me away, it was an arrangement of a Jobim number called Mojave. just a quartet, Guitar Hammond B3 Sax and Drums. Boy did they swing. A guy called Bob DeVos on gtr, I had never heard of him until then but I went straight on to Itunes and bought this album. Its a really great album and would recommend it highly. He is on you tube as well Here is the gtr solo, some beautiful lines in here. Anyone here familiar with his stuff?

Here's a lesson on one of my favorite aspects of studying bebop. I love playing bebop, but this is the stuff that I take away from it that infuses everything else I play.

I'm a great fan of Marco. He is really really good ! And not known enough to my point of view. Here is a new demonstration of his talent.
