Christmas Time is Here by Tony, Darrin & Daughters

Hello everyone. It's Marie. I saw that new version that Darrin posted of this beautiful tune... adding the angelic voices of his daughters! Omg! So beautiful!!! (to have the full story, just go to the "check this out" link). But he very descreetly added an mp3 file to his original post...

So I felt like posting this version appart for you guys not to miss it... Wow...

Don't Worry Be Happy by Marie

I finally could record a this tune I'm working on since a while now (well when I find some mn to practice). I'm sure the time between my practice sessions were productive in many ways...

This could be my 'very late' final on the Chords & Harmony Festival, where I mainly could only work on a stride first approach.

Still many mistakes, but I felt like getting 'back on my feet' more or less all the same, so I decided to post it anyway.

Enjoy! - M

Christmas Time Is Here by Darrin & Tony

As a novice, rock / blues rhythm guitarist (who has always loved, and wished he could play jazz), I was searching around on YouTube, looking for 'Vince Guaraldi' in an attempt to play along with 'Christmas Time Is Here', my absolute favorite Holiday number.

I come across this mind numbing performance by this rockin' roll looking guy, who is really tearing it up, kicking it hard .. Playing all parts himself, including this awesome ongoing solo that rings right out. Truly rocking right out ... all on ... a Vibraphone!?!?! Eddie Van Halen, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai all rolled into one.

Forum Topic: Musser 75 Pro

Hi, I'm considering getting my first set of vibes. A guitarist for past 10 years, I've always loved the sound of the vibes. Ive found a 20 yr old set of mussier 75 pro century vibes for sale. They are cited as being in excellent condition and fully playable. Is this a good set to buy to get me up and playing ? thanks for any information and/or suggestions.

Ed Saindon Solo Marimba playing Life's Blessing (alternate version)

Here is an alternate version of a solo marimba interpretation of my composition Life's Blessing. The lead sheet can be viewed and downloaded in PDF format from my website. Here's the link: http://www.edsaindon.com/documents/Lifes_Blessing.pdf

This clip was videotaped in the Percussion Department at Berklee. Mallets are my signature model from Vic Firth and the marimba is a Marimba One owned by marimbist Eriko Daimo.
