Sweet Violin and a Vibraphone by Angelo
Next Sunday, October 3rd, I am performing at the famous Lambert Castle, in Paterson,N.J., with a violinist. We have never played this combination before and this video will show us practicing together for the very first time.
This melody, Cinema Paradiso Theme" was composed by the popular, Morricone ( who wrote the music for the "Godfather Film), and, Daniella wants it played with an "ad-lib" temperament, as you will hear.
The Coro d'Italia Heritage foundation from New York celebrates it's 78th year of exxistence and the two of us will be playing from the second balcony tier.

Upcoming Winter Workshop at vander Plas Baelio Factory - Feb. 16th-20th
Our Winter Vibe Hang in Holland!
Thanking Marie-Noelle for her eager attitude in keeping everyone abord the "latest"!
From: Angelo j. Vaglio
Thanks to Tony Miceli, I joined the VW and am starting to become acquainted with the make-up of the fine organiztaion, plus, communicating with many members to discuss many subjects of concern to all vibists. Also, I noted the importance of Marie's continued observations that she explains in a wonderful manner that every single member acknowledges with joy.
Mike Pinto & Angelo J. Vaglio meet for the first time
Last Friday night, Mike Pinto visited me at thr restaurant that I gig in on weekends and after he introduced himself, I "gave him hell" for not getting there sooner.
All that will say is, "we WOW'd the patrons" jamming the tunes selected. We made some videos that I am sending. Here's one for now and because it take some time to get the others aboard youtube, I'll send the attachments!

Harmonic and Melodic Tonics by tony miceli
Here is a lesson on harmonic and melodic tonics. I never knew this by these terms, however, thanks to Stephan Harris I now do.
It sounds to me like guys like Michael Brecher and Bob Mintzer do this sort of thing a lot. Microphone off

comping and Soloing Abstract Lesson by Tony Miceli
So this was kind of a difficult lesson to create because it basically happens when I'm doing a one-on-one lesson. In the lesson we talk about something like comping, or soloing, work time, or whatever. Then usually I come up with some parameters to work in and we start playing.
Hard Stuff Quintet - Stoner Hill by Brian Blade
Hey everyone,
Here's a video of the Brian Blade song, Stoner Hill from a gig I played a few nights ago. It was our first gig with this group but I'm really excited to get to play with these great musicians. Tony wanted me to post a recording as part of my assignment.
Thanks a lot!
