I thought I'd try recording a video of stride playing Ive been working on. But I cannot get any audio on the iMovie.

I use the iSight camera in the iMac and iMovie.

I can see the input level working fine. But it does not record.
Any help would be appreciated.

thanks

I guess this was not a good heading.
If you have any experience with iMovie I could really use your help.

Thanx,

video works fine. But the audio does not record. I can see the audio input on meters and the level is good. But when you record (they call it capture) there is no audio. As if they expect you to add it later via import. Which works fine.... ughhh.

All the components work fine, camera, audio interfaces.
Its just how to use this software.

Which flavor of final cut do you use?
Will Express work for recording live video?

I record most of my movies through iMovie even though I have Final Cut Express. I just find it easier. I haven't experienced this problem you describe. My audio usually is coming through the camera itself on the DV channel. I think iMovie prefers this method because there doesn't seem to be an audio input setting. My other thought was to set the audio input in the System preferences (but maybe you have already tried that?)
