Problem with Audio only Lessons

Hi all! I have been a registered user for a while, but I just recently got on the subscription thing to get access to the lessons--finally have a little more time to practice; also my own vibes and practice space. (hurray!)

My question is this; every time I try to listen to an audio only lesson, it ends up only going 1/3 to 1/4 of the way through. For instance, If the audio is supposed to be 14 minutes, it usually only goes for around 3 minutes. Video seems to work fine. I am running on OSX with Firefox as a browser. Am I doing something wrong?

Welcome and congrats on joining us in the studying part of the site!

I'm afraid you're not the only one to have this kind of trouble. We noticed it on some old audio lessons. This must come from one of the last updates: the guys regularly need to make updates to save the huge amount of information coming every day here. I hope it's not occuring in too many lessons... If you have links you can send them to us.

Tony? Are you around?

Don't hesitate to ask questions on the lessons you are working on, or post audios or videos of where you came with them!

i bet you're checking out old lessons. when we upgraded the site there was a problem. i try to go through and fix them, but i'm missing some. so i'm assuming it's old videos. is it not?

but everyone can post the links, OR email them to me and i'll fix them quickly.

Just listened through the link that you gave--worked all the way through. This is the link that I first noticed it on:

I have been trying to listen to some of the "beginner" lessons, and just exploring the site in general; so you were correct on the older lesson idea.

Also, I completely agree with the consistency that you were talking about--it is challenging, but next to matched grip and stroke type, consistent, everyday practice is what I try to teach the middle school (and some high school!) lesson students I work with.

I'll be getting into the tune of the month more soon--musical to play next week, and I still want to get more acquainted with the site, but it sounds like you have a great way to learn (and memorize) tunes, which is really what I need!

i found out some things. yeah we have a problem. i have to get my programmer in here.

meanwhile, you can post anything you're interested here on and i'll try to fix that file right away while the programmer is working on the bigger picture. the files are there but there's errors in the database.

i'll keep you posted. i fixed the file you have mentioned here.

yeah,

we figured out the problem and i'm fixing them all now. so they should all be working very soon (most are as of now)

i'm really glad you dig VW. i think it's a great hang for vibe players! spread the word!
