Imagine playing a standard like this. You know what I mean? The concept of this piece I think lends itself to solo playing. The two voices. Something we can do on the vibes just as easily as can be done on the guitar.
Nice Tony. We can definitely use some of the techniques that jazz and classical guitarists employ. I remember seeing a transcription of a Jim Hall solo on All The Things You Are. Besides the tasteful lines, he had some nice counterpoint in there as well as some comping with guide tones. This would make for a nice article. :) Ed

but yep, for me the guitar is what we're after. that is IMHO.
