Question étude #8 by David Friedman

Hello all – although this might be an embarrassing question to ask, BUT I'm working on étude #8 (vibraphone technique dampening and pedaling by David Friedman)

In regards to étude 8 do the accidentals only apply to the notes that they directly precede? As this is a contemporary piece and if you look at section A for instance you have a C sharp and then it's marked C sharp later in that phrase. Another example: the phrase before C there's a D sharp followed up an octave to a D – maybe D natural? I'm enjoying learning this étude as is, but before I post I don't want to give the wrong impression.

Thoughts?

Okay, no problem Mr. Friedman. I will try to scan the music in a day or two and I'll go with my instincts as I've almost interpreted this étude fully. However, if you prefer the traditional accidental rule I will have two versions :-)
