I’m thinking about buying the new one vibe. And I’m wondering how you guys transport this vibe. Do you break it down and put it in your car?
Do you leave assembled and use tiedowns in your vehicle?
Do you use a ramp to get it in and out?
Do you lift one end up first slide in and then lock it down to the tiedowns?
I’ve been moving my M55 fully assembled in my Honda element. I just lift up one end and set it up on the tailgate, Go to the other end of the vibe pick it up and roll it in and lock it down to the floorboard.

the omega and musser breakdown into four cases for me.
frame resonator bars and pedal. and then i have a rock n roller and I have walked blocks to gigs fairly easily.
even though i like the sound also, i wouldn't buy a yamaha because it breaks up into too many piece.
same with the m48 however players in cities like new york like that because it fits easy in an uber.

I own a One Vibe and it's my most favorite instrument out of any I have owned. I recently saw a small Honda van running around my neighborhood and happened to walk by the owners house one night while my wife and I were out for our evening walk. I can't remember the name of the van now but I think it was a Honda that is only for sale in Japan (not an Element). But, in your post you stated the vehicle that you use to transport your M-55 is the Honda Element. I'm going to check it out tomorrow!
In regard to the One Vibe, I bought the cases. They are great cases and the case for the harp has wheels. But it IS heavy. The bars are in their own bag - beautifully designed and practical. The resonators go in one bag and there is a slot on the bottom of it to slide in the crossbar. So, to answer your question I break it down and pack it up. It will be more difficult - weight wise - to do the One Vibe the way you do your M-55.
My goal is to find a vehicle like you have but to build a ramp to push the instrument up. For me I think it would be pretty challenging to pick up the One Vibe the way you do it in your picture. It is an extremely solid instrument but is much heavier than an M-55 frame.
