We work on 13th chords in this video. They are diatonic chords. All the notes are in the major scale.

我們今天來講“無根音的和聲配置”(Rootless voicing)

以G屬13和弦(G13)為例子
很多funk曲風的曲子，都是用屬和弦(dominant)。
例如屬九和弦、屬十三和弦，mixolydian 音階都可以應用在這兩個和弦上。

第一步驟，先找到適合這個G屬和絃的和聲，然後移到鐵琴的低音域區域，因為這個練習方式我們要從低音域開始敲，敲出上行音階。
第二步驟，試著敲出轉為和弦。(把最低的一顆音移到右手外棒，以此類推)。

P.S 同時這也是Bminor7b5的和聲配置，(Tony示範了Bminor7b5-E7b9-Aminor)

學會如何演奏出Rootless voicing,
Step1:先找出和弦的 1,3,5,7音
Step2:去掉根音(root)，加進9音。
Step3:去掉5音，加進11, 13音。
如果是屬和絃(Dominant)通常是加入13音。
例如G13，會用9和13音。在一定保留3,7音的情況下，這個Voicing的組成音就是 F,A,B,E.
再例如Cmajor7, 去掉根音加上9音。大部份會再去掉5音，加上升11音(#11等於#4)。會得到Lydian的聲音

Get it under your hands and play it in C. Every few days play it in another key.

REMEMBER: play all these exercises in time. That is learn them and then make sure you can play it in time. Don't learn them out of time and then move on. Get it?

This is a great exercise to help you really start thinking about comping through the scales.

It's the A section to Little Sunflower harmonized in block chords.

It's easy and if you know the tune you'll easily play it in D minor.

Keep it around and whenever you want do the exercise HOWEVER do it different keys. This will really help your comping as you will start moving the chords up and down the keys.

So here is an epic etude with a lot of what i'm talking about in the videos.

Write in the changes with my extensions.
Listen and adjust your pedaling so it sounds like my playing.

當我們在演奏敘事曲（Ballad）時，練習主弦律都要使用到外棒（右手外側）。

因為其他棒子都要伴奏。


如果不是Ballad的曲子，不要只用外側棒，因為會容易失去節奏感(rhythmic feel)。
