Today on this sunny Sunday I'm gonna have our machines work on a new project. If it works out well, it might help a huge number of vibists.
The main reason for this new DIY frame is a cheap solution for those who aready own a vibe for gigging, or for thosethat own a crappy beaten up frame and need something fancy without having to invest heavily.
It is not as transportable as the gigVibe and/or M55, cause the main issue here is costs reduction. For those who need something more transportable, we're gonna offer something in the relative near future.
When transporting, the whole consists of the one-piece keybed, the upper crossbar, the lowercrossbar with pedal and the two closed sidestands. So, tho not as easy to move around as the gigVibe or the M55, still transportable.
The whole package when purchased contains:
- all the "wooden" sheet material, perfectly machined so it is easily assembled by any one
- casters
- our metal gigVibe crossbar with semi wide pedal
- gigVibe dampersystem
- easy to mount nnylon base with barposts.
- coating and polyester laqcuer
with the assembling videos we made, it took me about an hour to assemble the kit. If you're able to assemble IKEA cabinets, you will be able to assemble this frame.
Price starts at euro 1750 ex VAT (depending on how much you want us to do for you)

ok, here is the result.
We've come up with a DIY Century-like frame for any one who owns a set of Musser or Deagan bars and resonators, and who is looking for an affordable frame, plus isn't too scary to do some DIY (any with up to one and a half left hand can buuld the frame)
some video footage is coming up.

yes, it's a DIY frame including everything you need except the bare, resonators and motor.

i think this could be a big deal for vibe players. now you sort of have 2 instruments instead of one. i've ordered one from nico and hopefully it will come soon and i'll shoot video and lessons with it!
i just bought a cheap m55. the frame is shot. so now i'll have this frame for home. and then i'll fix the other frame up for a travel back up.
having two instruments will make a vibe player's life much easier. and in fact, now if you see an m55 for cheap and it's trashed, you can buy it and then use this frame and have a well build practice instrument!
i'm hoping this is as incredible as i think it will be. i think also it could be a really big thing for schools, who all have trashed sets of vibes lying around!!!!
@nico, on castors will it be ok to roll around alot?? there's a school near me with a beat up m55. they wheel it around a lot. is this a good solution for them?
the casters are the ones we

the casters are the ones we also use on the carbonVibe.
these are smaller in diameter, double wheeled, and elegantly shaped.
They can withstand normal use, but can't cope with regular carting outdoors.

I can get vanderplasbaileo.com through explorer, but not google chrome.
I input this in Explorer
http://www.vanderplasbaileo.com/
and get the home page.
I input the same URL in chrome, and it quickly defaults to this
http://www.vanderplasbaileo.com/page.php?page=home&w=1250
with the report: File not found.

Hi Vince.
That's because we have launched the new website a few days ago.
I suspect your browser shows the first page from your cache, which is the old version that directs you to the old site which isn't on that location anymore.
best to clear the cache, and you will have access to the new site.
It isn't 100% yet, but will be soon.
Comments on the new website are appreciated.

Hi Nico,
I would suggest that you include pictures with short explanations for all of the technological improvements that you have incorporated in your products.
Thank you very much for developing the DIY frame !!
I believe that if the price can come down just a bit that it will be a huge commercial success.
