Great video!
What's cool about this lesson is you never hear and bad note out of Andrei and he's playing the same triad over and over. Check him out on YouTube. He's a really great player. He plays classical and jazz. I'm especially blown away by his classical playing and he's also a great improviser.
Hi Everyone,
On Sunday, May 2nd Good Vibes is celebrating 11 years broadcasting! That's a lot vibraphone jazz over the airwaves.
Each tune is special, selected carefully from among the thousands in my collection. Choosing them is the fun part. Researching them often leads me down the internet rabbit hole where I can spend more time than I intended.
Here's me working on one of my favorite Oscar Peterson solos, "Just Friends" off of the album Walking the Line!
Stefon talks about a Cmaj7#9 after we talk about the upcoming camp.
The camp will be incredible!
Just something kind of dumb and fun (and rather challenging for my subpar video editing skills).
Second to last one! This one is beautiful (and hard!).
My first shot at recording etude #3
Hi all! I'm fairly new to the vibraphone, and most recently picked up burton grip a couple of months ago; however, I have been playing percussion and four mallet marimba for a couple of years now (playing with Stevens Grip). My jury is one week away and I thought I would share a practice run through I recorded of a transcription of Gary Burton playing "O Grande Amor" by Antonio Carlos Jobim. I recommend listening to Mr. Burton's performance to get a sense of what it should actually sound like. I plan on revisiting this piece down the line to refine it.
