Video footage of Cal is pretty rare, and I found this the other day on YouTube. This is the longer clip with three tunes on it - Cubana Chant, Poinciana, and Doxy.

The instrument is a Deagan 1000, and it's nice to see Hefner keepin' it real by moving the vibraphone into place.

I got the tip from my student Oliver who is a piano player and moves voicings from the piano to the vibes. Oliver rocks!

Some Sunday night musical reflection on “America” with some reharmonization, modulation and constant structure chords. If anyone would like the lead sheet just let me know.

I'm trying to get organized here, but it's not easy for me. Since the quarantine I have been busier than I've ever been. Being online is more work than being offline!

But I would like to see which subscribers want to meet up once or twice a month and play and talk about stuff.

Here's the thing, you have to have good bandwidth, decent audio and decent video.

There are ways to do it. And I will help any subscriber that has questions.
