His time is really good. I actually think he does a pretty good job!
He is 84 years old at the time this video was recorded.... !
I am learning a ton making lessons of these bebop tunes.
It's so great for me. I learn and my playing gets better.
If you're a hard worker I'm sure you are also learning a ton during these 7 weeks.
Tell me what you're learning.
I know I'm early, but here's a practice tape of Tricotism.
I've been listening to the great pianist Art Tatum for the past few weeks while commuting to Boston to teach at Berklee. I hadn't listened to Tatum for quite awhile. I listened to all of the tracks from the Solo Masterpieces. Still unbelievable playing and fresh. The refined touch, sound, fluidity, harmonic richness, reharm, chromaticism within the harmony, the stride and 10ths in the left hand, ...there's so much in each track. Anyways, here's a little nod to Art Tatum with this rendition of Duke Ellington's great composition "In A Sentimental Mood".
Hey everyone!
It's been ages since I last posted something on the site!
Surely some of you will recognize Jenny, a German vibist from the Wuppertal school from The Spring Vibes workshops of the past few years: she was in Paris for a few days... and guess: we could meet and share a nice pique nique near on the grace my work in Paris... near the Invalides Dome! :)
We had some great time with one of her friend who nicely took this picture!
