And Marvin is Monk - Vibes, Clarinet and Upright Bass

Wonderful composition by Mark titled "And Marvin is Monk" which is based on Blues changes. Fun tune to play on. The melody and changes are the catalyst for spirited and creative playing. Great comment by Mark at the end of the clip. "You guys are really getting nutty". I think that should be the title of the CD. Ha!Ha!

Send-off for Bob Masteller, The Jazz Corner Pres. & CEO

Everyone,
A New Orleans style jazz send-off for Bob Masteller is planned for April 10 at the Honey Horn Plantation, Hilton Head Island, following church services that morning. Musicians are coming from around the country to perform and pay their final respects to a truly inspirational human being. A memorial fund has been set up at website www.thejazzcorner.com. Proceeds will benefit Bob's beloved Junior Jazz Foundation, a non-profit organization which fosters jazz education among young people.

Henry Mancini's The Days of Wine and Roses - Clarinet, Vibes, Upright Bass

Henry Mancini's The Days of Wine and Roses played by Billy Novick on clarinet, Mark Carlsen on upright bass and myself on vibraphone. Hoping to dub the audio recording to the video footage at some point, but for now this is the clip with the video sound. (Sorry for the buzz).
