It was an incredible concert and an even more incredible meeting! :)

I have two. The one I recently played on. It had a gel damper with no gel in it. Go figure.

I played on one in Cuba, where a person had to sit near me because the posts on the vibes would fall over some how and they had to fix the note. But that was Cuba and I felt part of the revolution! So it didn't feel as bad as it seems now!

Yep they said they had a set of vibes for me at Bucknell University. One of the more expensive Ivy League schools in the country.

I went up to play them, and the f*R%*R% gel damper had NO gel in it. So they went and got me felt pads and sad I shouldn't complain because Stefon Harris played on these. I said, well I bet Stefon was at least as pissed off as I am right now.

And then I said, IF A VIBE PLAYER ASKS YOU IF YOU HAVE A SET OF VIBES YOU SHOULD SAY NO, BECAUSE THIS IS NOT A SET OF VIBES.

ASSHOLES.

Hello mallet folks - this pertains to any German vibists out there.

I am playing a duo concert with Brad Shepik on Jan. 18, 2014 in Passau and I am in desperate need of a vibraphone for the show. Any info/leads are much appreciated.

So I use the motor with my vibes, but it is making a squeaking sound when it oscillates. I'm not sure what to lubricate... or if I need to lubricate anything at all. Anyone have some advice? Thanks!
