I have just acquired a very old set of vibes and they are made by Jenco, the range is C4 to F6. The motor still works but I will need to get some new cables. I also plan on installing a new power cable because the one that is currently installed looks old and I wouldn't want it to blow a fuse. Besides these small flaws, it just needs to be polished up a bit and I believe it will be in quite good condition, and sounding quite good as well. I also believe that the current parts are original.
Playing playing playing.....
Today I did a smart thing (if I say so myself). For the 1th time I used the Metronome that gives a different kind of tick on beat 1, so now I know if I'm still correct in the measure, and not only tempo.
That woke me up. I must pay attention in not leaving gaps. Keep on counting. This was a major step in doing this, it really helped I think. I still need to work on it, especially more to the end, when I'm supposed to be improvising more and more. 2 times bridge suck. work on it Stefan !
Just a heads up. We are working hard behind the scenes. We are working on getting the videos to show on iphones, finally! The cool thing is we're working on a new layout that display on any device. From a small phone to a desktop computer.
That's really exciting because that means you watch lessons and study on your phone.
I'll keep you posted. We have a developers version of the site up and when it gets a little closer, I'll send you guys the link.
Great condition instrument, only a few superficial scratches to bars. $6500, OBO. Email for questions, pictures, or recordings.
Perfect, soundless frame. Fabulous touch screen motor system. Huge sound, with full bass extension.
In this post I try to practise my tempo using a lot of spase between the lines. I also played a second line and comping. It's ineresting how many things you can practise from one exercise!
Thanks David/really helpfull stuff!
I am still working on How deep-still a lot to learn...One of the millions things I took from the site is to work music from people all around the world. So this is my friend Giorgos who studies at Maastrichtt(Netherlands) and he recorded a walk for me.
I just thought good idea to post this here
Enjoy!
