The Thirteenth Floor by MetroWest Jazz Project (original composition swap meet)

Hi All,

Here's another one of my compositions from the CD project I'm working. It's called "The Thirteenth Floor". This track was created by cutting and pasting two different takes together, and I think the tempo difference between the two takes is too much, so we'll probably have to re-edit (feedback on this appreciated).

And any other comments or criticisms are great appreciated.

Studying lessons 1 and 2 of the intermediate course, I was wanting to find a tune where open and closed voicings could apply well in the same tune. I know it's the topic of a further lesson, but I was wanting to do something of my own, and here I found this tune, composed in 1962 by a great french guitarist and singer, Henri Salvador. This song is still very popular in France (the lyrics by Bernard Dimay are excellent too) and played by many musicians.
This is a rough version, I'll polish it with time, and post again.
