Trying stuff out on the gig - mp3
Hey everyone,
A guy calls the local musicians' union to get a quote on a six piece band for a wedding.
The rep says: "Off the top of my head, I'd say about two thousand dollars."
The guy says: "ARE YOU KIDDING? —— FOR MUSIC?!?"
The rep responds…
"Let me suggest that you call the plumbers' union and ask for six plumbers to work from six to midnight on a Saturday night. Whatever they charge you, we'll work for half!"
Quick and Dirty Duet. Above are both of my parts, below are the play along tracks.
i tried to keep things very simple, you do the same!
I give some instructions while I play. Maybe we can get Behn to do one of these?
This instrument is for sale: 2000.00 and can be seen in the Dallas area. This frame but with silver bars tuned to A442 and M55 arched resonators. I don't have a photo of it with those features but they are both in "new" condition. The frame has many excellent features. If interested, email me with your phone number and I'll call you to discuss the features in detail. The instrument does not belong to me - I'm selling it for a music school who no longer needs it because they have not had any vibe students (imagine that).
Here is the link to the interview, please ignore the camera going in and out of focus its an automatic thing, I have put all the info on You Tube with the video. There is background noise but that is unavoidable in these circumstance as there are thousands of people at this fair. Enjoy

Yonatan Marianer- Bass
Angelo Spampinato- Drums
Let me know what you think. I feel like, after listening to this, I should take bigger breaths in my lines. I always think about it before I start soloing. Once I start I just completely forget I was thinking about playing with more space. I think its just habit to try and play everything at once. Any tips on breaking habits like this?
Ok so here it is the first pics of the carbon vibe, I have also done a video which I will put up as well explaining the setup in an interview with Nico. What a day it has been. Hope you like the pics. Of course all comments are welcome.

I found this clip on youtube introducing a new vibe design called a tri-chromatic vibraphone. The keyboard layout is radically different from anything I've ever seen. Check it out.
