F&*^$^G Incredible - Exemple of 'Are 'are music
Wow!! I've never seen anything like this.
Wow!! I've never seen anything like this.
I am still playing Estate. Here are a couple of solo versions (1 chorus each). I'd like to get your opinions on the feel of each. I have been working on trying to keep better time, without relying on BIAB. Is the pulse OK, too much, too forced? The second version (attached file) has a more obvious rhythm. That one, I used softer mallets (Balter 12R). The clicks are the handles hitting each other.

This is a movie I shot when I was in Philly in August 2007 I was doing some stuff with Tony at the University Of The Arts and at the end of the lesson I asked Tony to play a tune, this is the result totally on the spot performance and its great even though Tony did'nt think so and guess what later that evening we went out for something to eat and Tony being the perfectionist that he is gives me a cd of the same tune he recorded in the interim man you have to love this guy.Hope you all enjoy this, should also mention as this was recorded with the camera mic the audio is not the best quality
I recorded this John Lewis classic one evening during a gig in Muncie, IN with "Live Jazz Tonight". Please enjoy this submission.
Hello All,
I wanted to post to say hello to everyone on that subscribes to this site. Quite frankly this is possible the coolest website I have ever come across. A sense of community is present and the information exchange is awesome. Above all, we can all help each other to become better players and teachers. I am happy there is a place for vibists to hang or just check out others work.
All the Best to you and yours,
Timothy
I recorded this cut in 2006 at the University of Tennessee during my recital for the Master's of Music degree. Featuring Justin Haynes (p), Josh Marcum (b), Deric Dickens (d) Tracy Ozier (v) and Yours Truly (vib). I got the idea for this arrangement while listening to Milt Jackson and Ray Brown's Much In Common.

For those who were in Sassenheim (and those were not too!), here is an excerpt from a CD just about to be released, of a cool reggae group of young musicians from Berlin. And among them is our dear little Charly on vibes!!!
I love this music, clean, well written, with a powerful singer, and where the vibes found his place... very cleverly!
Go Charly!... And we want to hear more very soon!!
:o)

PS: how many degres in the recording room? ;o)
