Pat Metheny & Toots Thielemans "Always And Forever" - Music is a (peaceful) language
Do words exist for this?... At least I found one: peace... :o)

I am working on "Waltz for Debby" by Bill Evans.
I wasn't going to post it until I did a little better, but Carla asked for something new from me. Here is my best take of the night. Still working on it...
Hey guys a while ago I wrote this brief article on cells:
http://www.vibesworkshop.com/blog/mike-pinto-chromatic-cell-structures/…
now i'd like to start a series of lessons based on cells. This first part is just an introduction where I go quickly over a few options. In the lessons to come I will go more slowly and be more specific(I hope...)!
enjoy and ask questions please!

C為起音的第二級Melodic scale,
Check out this cat towards the end. I posted Glen Verez a minute ago and then found this.
Oh my god, this cat is so bad it's not even funny!!!!
I think this is so f-n incredible.
We're putting up a hand drum site now, so I'm getting to see some really cool hand drum video as well as recording Todd Isler who's a great percussionist.
This vid is mesmerizing!
i was listening to Barry's piece tonight and that got me all inspired to play a little bit. Isn't it so cool to come here and get inspired by other players and directions that other people are heading in?
I came home and listened to Messiaen and then Rachmaninoff and then Barry!
I am playing this tune on my school percussion ensemble concert on Sunday. If any of you know the history behind this tune then you know how deep it really is. If not, look it up.
This tune means a lot.
It was a challenge for me to keep the one handed roll going on through the head of the tune but I think it worked out.
Sorry for the rattling. I think it is the recorder thing rattling on the stand.

I've been working on my basic language skills by checking out some of the old school heavies. I've been mostly digging into Bud Powell. He is so freaking heavy. I think some of it is starting to come out in my playing.
I think Bud Powell and Brad Mehldau have a lot of similarities. Bud Powell was way ahead of his time.
This is a trio gig I did with a couple of old guys that I play with frequently. It is also pretty fun to stretch out on a blues like this.

Inspired by David's version of Jobim's "Chovendo na Roseira", I decided to study it. Here is a take from my practice session tonight.
An arrangment is available from:
http://www.jobim.org/xmlui/handle/2010/4790
I played most of it from memory. I think I need to add more double-stops/comping in the left hand when I play the melody in the head.
Suggestions appreciated.
