Working on Voicings
*找到一些小的音程的voicing(小二度minor2 之類的), 把它們放到低音處(左手)。
*小提醒:盡量避免Minor9的聲響。

Nr. 5 - Tune Of The Week - Mood Indigo
Here's the next tune for the Tune of the week series.
I saw Barry's post and thought it would be nice to do Mood Indigo this week.
Try to do a version like Barry did, so playing block chords. Voice the melody with four voices. If I have time, I'll make a video lesson on block chords. I think Tony has a lot of video's where he talks about this and also the drop 2 lessons by Dana are also a study in block chords.
I'm pretty busy this week, but I'm still gonna try to do as much as I can.

Inventing your own exercises
The last mini-lesson I posted on VW seemed to raise more questions than it solved... Ok that is cool, the idea is to explore many things and try to get better. We all need to do this, and it never stops as a player. It's a constant journey.
In the Coltrane lick I had been working on, I suggested a double sticking that some of you pointed out was actually a triple sticking. So I had to look into that, cause I wasn't even slowing it down enough to realize I was doing that, and upon further review, it is not something I would actually recommend doing.

F# B C# E - Etude of the Month! -1 Minute Lesson
Simple Etude. Play F# B C# E up and down your instrument. Try it fast. Hard right? I think of these as asymmetrical arpeggios.
Just do that for a few weeks and then come back to it, every now and then. I just did it yesterday and I sucked at it! Your turn!
