I am posting the Good Vibes radio program on the site for you to listen to at your leisure. This is the first hour. Because of the size I believe I have to post each hour separately.

I'm going to meet Vince Montana in a couple weeks. Just curious if you guys know who he is and he did. He's a real pop vibraphonist. And he's a great player. This video is from 1978 and he's using tracks! He has made a ton of money in the music business and he's a great musician!!

Can you guys find any info on him and post links here. He's a very credible vibraphonist even if he went the pop route. He's a great pop writer and on and on! He's serious.

I'm searching a vibraphone as small (thin bar), cheap and old (second hand) as possible. Preferably in Europe because of the shipment costs. If anybody have some information about it I would be very grateful!

I think I've posted this before but I'm not sure. This would make a great EOTM (Exercise of the Month). Might not be as easy as it looks. The left hand plays the double stops.

This is a tune I have been working on for a few weeks just to get a handle on, I have kept it simple with an Aebersold backing track, I hope to do more with it like comping the chords filling in the gaps and just use bass and drums but I thought I might post what I have so far. Comments welcome

Peter and I often play a free piece as an opener for our duo concerts. It's a real challenge, however, to play a tonal free piece. This is what we did here. It ended up sounding like a song of some sort. I have no idea where this recording comes from. I found it somewhere on my computer.

Hi, Today I spent some hours adapting Monk's Just a Gigolo, from a recording. It's not as well played as it could be (I need to work at it again), but I'll post it all the same. When I'm ready, I'll add an impro, but the time is not right yet. I'm still struggling through Tony's exercises, learning the ABC's. Monk plays some hip things, like he harmonizes the first note of the tune (C) with AbMaj_A7#9. I like those sounds. I think they come out very well on the vibraphone.

I've been thinking about this a lot recently, and I figure this is a great place to talk about it. I hit brick walls a lot and it's easy to get all down and not push yourself out of the rut (at least for me). The worst part about these experiences, is the feeling that I am the first person to ever go through it. The logic part of my brain tells me that my vanity is ridiculous, but I think it's easy for everyone to feel this way. When I get like this, improvising becomes EXTREMELY difficult...
