Here is part 2 of the intro to cells.
I explore using cells over an upper extension triad.
In this example I use a dominant 7th chord with a maj triad built off the 6th.

Hi All,
Poking around here as I've been working on the Vibesworkshop on Roku app, I discovered an interesting statistic -- as of this morning (2010-May-17), there have been 658 videos posted here. By access level there are:

Nacada is a lesser known tune written by Pat Metheny many years ago. I don’t think it has been recorded very much. It has a very short form, a mere 8 bars long. Yet it provides lots to work with when arranged as a solo piece or played with a band.
In this version I added a little synthesized string parts in the background as an experiment. I think they blend well with the vibes and help to fill out the sound.
Barry posted a version of Estate, A lovely tune. I recorded this with a trio also a few years ago and thought I'd share this too.
Let me know what you think Barry?

Un video interesante con marimba y theramin. Un theramin se utilizó en el tema de Star Trek original. Pongo una foto de un músico theramin tambien.
Man, there are so many of us here now. I keep think of ways for us all to work and grow together.
So here's my pitch: The Summer of 2010 will be 'The Summer of Vibes'. Let's play for each other this summer. Let's play little concerts for each other pros and amateurs!
To me a concert has a few things to it. It usually has some talking or announcing and has more than one tune.
So let's say that if you post a recording where you are talking about the piece and it's more than one piece that it's a concert.
This is my attempt at the tune Spain there are a few mistakes here and there I have played it better but here it is anyway, all comments welcome, I am working on a solo as well.
Cheers John
