I think these frames might really change the way our instruments look. Especially for busy players in cities! I played these frames and they are incredible. Malletech is planning on making some of these frames.
What do you think? Do you want one?

Is this what Yamaha uses now?
SO, I think this may be more of what Tony was looking for here... I chose the AKG 414B as a comparison because it is a mic I get put on me a lot in studios that don't really record vibes a lot. It's a great mic, but you can decide if you prefer it. I will do some more comparisons in later posts to other mics.
Take it if you need parts!
Cool stuff Steve is doing with pickups/effects. It sounds really good. Steve knows his shtuff. He had an awesome talk on mics at the Vibes Congress.
Steve, if you get some time, can you explain a little more than what the video covers. What pickups system are you using? I may have missed it, but are you mixing in mic'd sound with the pickups?
Thanks,
Barry
Greetings everyone,
My Musser M55 can be adjusted for height. Are there guidelines/suggestions on choosing an optimal height?
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
This post is further to my shoutout earlier on...
I've just ordered a pair of SE1as on trial from SE-Electronics.
You can see them here: http://www.seelectronics.com/se1a-pair-mic
They're pencil condensors - perhaps not the perfect mic, but a massive step up from the dynamics I've been using up until now.
I think they come with a stereo bar, so that you can put both mics on one stand, and separate them slightly.
Does anyone set their mics up like this when playing live? Does it work as well as placing them apart?
