Great set with Red Norvo. Check out how far he chokes up on the mallets!

Norvo always makes me love music and inspires me. Technique is so flawless. He uses little energy while playing, and he chooses his notes with care. He doesn't need to see the instrument. I am 95% certain he's using the Deagan that was equipped with pickups in this video (that popping attack sound). These arrangements are so tidy and the musicians are all about the music they can make and the joy they can have making it--why we call it "play"ing music. It's supposed to be fun!

Red was a friend of mine. On his death bed, when he could no longer play, he gave me two sets of bars (Aurora and Commander) and I promised that I would play a lot on them. Unfortunately, I have, so far, been unable to find a good frame for them other than putting them on my Musser Century frame. They do fit (sort of) because they are a little smaller but it would be nice to find a good portable frame for them cause they really sound nice. Perhaps I'm superstitious or something but when I play them I think I play better just cause they belonged to Red. He was truly a great player and a great guy, may he RIP.

I think John Mark Piper might be able to build you a frame and resonators.
Also on this site, two guys might help==one who uses the name "wyndorps" and Glen Dalrymple.
For the pickup-attached bars, you'd really only need the frame with damper bar.
