Last minute post and just a long shot, but if anyone is here from the Harrisburg, PA area, I'm at the Harrisburg Hilton tonight. Trio, John Ragonese (sax), and Micah Jones (bass).
Just thought I'd mention it. Probably should have posted this a few days ago.
The Hilton is a great Jazz Room. Sometimes it gets noisy, but for the most part it's cool.
Check out Patty playing the Friedman etude No. 13. What's great is since her right hand is injured, she's using just her left. During her injury that lasted 6 weeks she practiced like a maniac with just her left hand. I BET HER LEFT HAND is pretty happening now! huh?
yo, i have a 4 oclock sunday gig. it pays great!! so that's cool. let me find out what time it's over and get back to you.
i'm hoping i can get home early. i work i think 7 nights next week, which is good. but after that it's slow, and i'll have time.
first things first let's see when this gig is over.
i'll get back to you.

We're all excited here at vibesworkshop.com because Ed Saindon has agreed to become part of our faculty. Ed will be posting lessons and more, hanging out with us at the vibe hangs! Helping all of us to get better on the instrument. Ed has been playing and teaching on this instrument for YEARS now. So he has a ton to offer!
I just thought I'd announce that. I'm going to put up his section of the site hopefully today and then he'll start sending lessons down!
Not sure how the Blue Bossa Etude is going over.... So I thought I'd add the melody on top and solo also.
I think to study harmony and study tunes, you have to come up with manipulation of the harmony. I always thought I had to take it 'somewhere' else. That's the idea of this.
Anyway someone commented on the fact that they couldn't hear the tune. It should be obvious now. So Listen to this. I've posted charts on both parts below.

I had a fellow few vibes enthusiasts over recently, during which I noticed how geeky we all are. I thought that I would post some photographs that were taken that day. Please don't blast me for posting a photograph of myself. I thought it brought out my best features.
