Check out Hauke's recital. It's really great playing! You guys will dig it.
“Falling Grace” by Steve Swallow. One of the great many compositions written by Steve. This one is like a Berklee standard and is a great song to explore with. I worked on this with Gary way back and 45 years later it’s still fun to play and see where the music takes you. I was looking through my files from when I was studying with Gary. He was a great teacher. Very open, organized and systematic. I uploaded the lead sheet he gave me with the chord scales listed. On the back of the lead sheet he wrote his system of chord scales as applied to improvisation. I uploaded those to google docs.
Dan here are both parts.
download the single part and add your part.
Second part of the masterclass I did at University of Toronto for the percussion students.

here´s the famous crystal silence in our version. not really completley happy with the recording but i take it as work in progress...
it´s the only less stressfull to play number in our corea burton program since it´s a ballad but to play it nice and get a tasteful solo on it is as difficult as the fast speed stuff.
Piano: Martin Legemann
Vibes: Tarik Dosdogru
I wasn't really sure whether or not to post this. It's a very different kind of accountability today, I guess.
I recorded it for my girlfriend who just lost HER best friend - a very dear pet of hers who passed yesterday from liver cancer. Posted it on her FB wall with the lyrics...
