Oleo and Blues in the Closet in four keys.
This is a solo arrangement of Alice in Wonderland. I rearranged some of the chords, messing around with pedal points and things like that. I also added a Bill Evans-like coda. Some of the bass movement doesn't work so well solo, but you get the idea.

I'm always looking for video or audio of Joel Ross but it seems hard to dig stuff up on him. I just want to check him out as he's a young up and coming vibe player who's on the scene. The stuff I've heard sounds great!
I found this album (not under his name). Just started listening to it and thought I'd pass it along.

Mike Dillon is a pretty 'colorful' vibe player in our little world.
He's def someone using the vibes in an unusual context.

I always listen to other instruments play solo. It teaches you how to accompany yourself. The different ways. Our model is usually the piano which I think is not the best model for us. I like the guitar especially. That being said, it's also great to listen to piano players play and accompany themselves.
