Thanks Stefan!
I usually do Skype lesson deals during the summer months. This one is a sort of gift for subscribers. I gave away 4 in May. There's one left if you're interested.

Getting used to my new Omega Vibe! Great looks, great sound and nice feel! Thanks Malletech!
David Kovins solo vibe
The Rode NT1A is currently my favorite mic for live sound. Not so much in the studio because I don't love the top end that way. That very flaw makes it nice and warm on live PAs with piezoelectric tweeters that tend to crackle and be harsh with vibes. It has excellent off axis rejection and a very strong signal. It does require a board that can provide phantom voltage.
If you are in the market, there is a good deal being offered by Guitar Center right now. For roughly $500, you can get a pair.
Solo Vibraphone Masterclass on Bill Evans' Very Early (in 3/4)

This is a solo by the great Wolfgang Schlüter transcribed by my student Dani Catalán.
Wolfgang Schlüter is one of the greatest European jazz vibraphonists. Although he is now 82 years old (and nearly blind) he ist still playing great. For further informations about him have a look at his Wikipedia entry (unfortunately only in german):

Hi Everyone,
Happy Spring!
Sunday, April 3rd, is the next Good Vibes. Warren leads off with a track from Invictus with drummer Reggie Quinerly. Jorge Duran joins GV for the first time from Spain, a cut on his EP "Linda Chicana." Ben Thomas plays yet another tribute to Joe Locke, called "Lockesteps." Steve Shapiro plays a selection from Solomental, "Protons, Neutrons & Croutons," (love the title). That's just the first half hour.
