Excerpts Of My First M-Kat Only Gig

hey,

although i already posted most of the songs somewhere on the site, i thought to share some excerpts of my first malletkat only gig to show you the advantages of the instrument by using different sounds on the fly. first i was a bit affraid of playing a gig without my loved musser but i must say it all went well. best would be to have them both and setup like i have at home but then i would need a roadie :)

Hairspray - James Whiting's set up - News from Australia

Some of you know James Whiting, our "young" and yet serious member from Australia. Last year James recently released a CD under his own name: www.vibesworkshop.com/node/5267/
Then he switched to Musical... even getting to dance on them! ;-) Here is a picture of his set for Hairspray, the Musical he's currently playing in. Thought I'd share it, and give you some fresh news from Australia! Go James! :o)

Bob DeVos

Was driving home in my car the other day and this tune came on the radio, man it just blew me away, it was an arrangement of a Jobim number called Mojave. just a quartet, Guitar Hammond B3 Sax and Drums. Boy did they swing. A guy called Bob DeVos on gtr, I had never heard of him until then but I went straight on to Itunes and bought this album. Its a really great album and would recommend it highly. He is on you tube as well Here is the gtr solo, some beautiful lines in here. Anyone here familiar with his stuff?
