I'm just back from my annual little gig for Music Day wit my guitarist friend and my son. And this time, I had my vibes to bring!! But you were not that far: when I presented us, I dedicated our little performance to all my vibists friends around the world! So I felt like posting the 4 tunes we did, with their many mistakes... and their good vibes too...
Here is Now's the time in Duet... well not much better than last time with Tarik in Sassenheim ;-), but this time I added a little scat part. Enjoy! - M

This is a GREAT story. I Hope Alain will talk about his vibes and what he's doing. Incredible interesting I think.
Here's a set of vibes in the middle of the rain forrest in Gabon. I can't believe all the incredible places where there are vibes!
This is a complete version, with the first part (kind of verse for american people), by Yves Montand, one of the best french singers, who created the song (not exactly, there was another version before, but which didn't do the tremendous hit of Montand's one).
Since the lyrics are a poem of Jacques Prévert, if you sing the song in french, it's a nonsense not to sing both parts.
I felt anyone would know all that. Enjoy !
(Oh ! I don't have any idea who is the vibist...)
Cop this and put it through the keys! les
Ok, just start playing around with Autumn Leaves. Just play it and find stuff. Sit at the piano. Play just the bass movement. Play the bass movement and guide tones. Check out the patterns in the melody.
