Here Etude N°3. A little bit distortion on accentuated notes, I still didn't find the right setting or place in my music room for my Zoom Q3, but the work goes on... ! :o)
This a free improvisation at the Paris Conservatory during a workshop by David Friedman and Peter Weniger on the art of duo playing. It was filmed on an Iphone by Patrick Moutal, professor of Indian music.
Hi All,
June's Good Vibes is coming up this Sunday, June 5 (8-10pm eastern time).
You'll hear Jay Hoggard, Gary Burton with vocalist Rebecca Parris, Nick Mancini's lovely "Moonlight in Vermont," Joe Locke and the "Mission Impossible" theme, Chuck Redd with an uptempo and swinging "Laura," and from my new favorite CD, Brasilian Vibes, vibes player Arthur Lipner. Plus much more.
Hope you can listen in.

"Finally it happened, the Sultanate of Oman has got the blues. These are five Ladies from the Diwan I teach. They started playing percussion one year ago and have never heard any blues or jazz music before. So we did all the singing stuff and so on, as Tony has showed it at the Limerick and Sassenheim workshops. That's the result."
Remember: I talk about bass lines in the top part of the chord. I do know that technically that's not a bass line. But there's something that a bass line does rhythmically (besides the low part of the chord) that helps the time. And I think you can put that anywhere.
With all the talk about transcribing solos or not. I personally think this is pretty cool. And I get the feeling this cat digs doing this. And on recorder!!!
