Finally, I'm posting the promised version of "Tony's Tune". :)
I'm very sorry for being late, but I had to practice marimba (2 mexican dances) a lot, just after the workshop.
It ended up almost like an etude for me, because I wanted to do certain things and this is still not the final version I think. The time is kind of shaky sometimes, I have to work on that, but I didn't want to do a rubato version. However, hope you like it.
And yes, Tony, I learned the lyrics. :)
Hi All- Sorry if this is a tired subject around here; I haven't been by in awhile. Just got a snail-mail percussion catalog and noticed the Malletech 'Love' Vibraphone is finally being shipped. Anyone besides Gavin and Ed Smith interacted with this thing? Here are some thoughts from reading the brochure and watching Ed play it:
hi again this night i started to remember this next tune. it is coral. this was the first ballad i learned in my life with peace from horace silver. the time I was listenig was the time i discovered gary playing. this time gary play this very often and it was one of my principal references. this is my small and humble tribute i made this day to gary. a nice tune.

Hi all,
I was going through some old gigs and stumbled upon this version of Autumn In New York, one of my favorite ballads! This is from Smalls back in October. Enjoy!
This is our arrangement of the tune, there are a few blips here and there but would love to hear your comments, I have edited some of the gtr solo.
Are you guys listening to our next TOTM Fried Bananas?
What tune is it based on?
Who wrote it??
What recordings are you listening to?
Start getting it in your system, it's a good tune.
Let's make this the research page for the tune. See what you can dig up.
Found this on face book. Or I think Marie found it!
Greetings,
I'm a total newbie/beginner. I've always loved the sound of the vibes and I'm looking to get a used M55 at a good price (none around right now here in Florida). If I don't find anything I'll probably eventually break down and get a new M46 w/motor or a gold M55. Is there a significant difference in quality between the two?
I'll likely subscribe here once I find a set of vibes, especially if there is lots of good beginner material. If anyone has a good used M55 available, I'm interested.
