Hi everyone,
I just got copies of my new album today, "Top Shelf." Here is a link of Ken Fowser and I discussing this project:

I'm really excited about this new recording! It features a great band with Michael Dease on trombone, Steve Einerson on piano, Dezron Douglas on bass, Rodney Green on drums, and co-led with Ken Fowser on tenor saxophone. I have audio clips on my website, www.behngillecejazz.com
Hello All,
Has anyone out there used the Bose L1 Compact Portable Line Array System (or the other models in the line) to amplify the vibraphone? I am planning to purchase the AMT VP-2 microphone system and consequently need to move away from my current Peavy keyboard amplifier.
I want the easiest thing to carry into the gig. I work with a singer who brings in her Bose L1 with considerable ease and is ready to go in 5 minutes when the gig is done. I am envious!
Thanks,
Jerry Weir
This is the A section of the tune. David Friedman wrote this out 2 yrs ago at Holland Workshop and I am having a go at it. One or two dodgy notes. Comments welcome
Hey,
Just got my vibes back and finished it. Sory for the mistakes....
NExt TOTM lesson? Maby next week?
Anyone have any suggestions for a mallet that I can use to bend notes that isn't a plastic xylophone mallet? I'd love to be able to incorporate some of that stuff into my solo playing without having to hold a xylophone mallet the entire time.

Last week end, Philippe Macé organised a vibes workshop/concerts in Paris, with him as teacher but also with David Friedman and Emmanuel Séjourné. Philippe is a member here and even participated in one of our European Winter workshops in Sassenheim. He's directing the conservatory of the 11th district of Paris.
Unfortunately I couldn't attend the lessons during the week end and I even missed meeting David :-(, but I came and say hi on Friday after my work, during the first lesson with Philippe. Of course this was a new opportunity to talk about the site to some young students! ;-)
Here we are again.
Still working on it.
I call it the 66 take, because the metronome is at 66. I should be a little faster(I'm going for 72).
In this take, I'm even running at the end. I was aware of it while playing, but I was so 'into' it I couldn't slow myself down.
This is not at all a great version, but I think I'm improving. (can you say that about yourself ?)
Hi all,
I am selling my vibe in Berlin and heading back to Melbourne.
It is in fantastic condition. I have the same model instrument in Melbourne and really love it. Especially the height adjust-ability and the warm tone.(please see attached PDF for more information and photos).
I am also including a pair of flight cases if needed and could look at sending the instrument via freight depending on the destination and the cost.
If you are interested please contact me at robertsinclairmcdonald@gmail.com or spread the word if you happen to know someone looking for an instrument.
