I am excited to announce the release of WE TWO, the piano/vibraphone duo recording with legendary pianist/composer Mimis Plessas A. We approach his classic songs in a different way. I'm also attaching a slideshow with pictures from various concerts in Greece and USA along with some photos from the recording.

Dan Moore shared this video on Tony's FB page and I thought it was the perfect link to post today! Not sure if Dan is a member here (I couldn't find him in the list)... Maybe we'll know soon.
Merry Christmas everyone!

A school friend of my daughter is looking for soft cases for a Musser Provibe M55.

I've wanted to play in the Exotica genre.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exotica
Vibes are big there, particularly from Arthur Lyman.
Attached is me jamming on the bass pattern from Quiet Village. Motor full on, and lots of ringing, baby!
This tune is written by Les Baxter, and recorded later by Martin Denny in the Exotica style. In link below, it is performed on solo vibes by Arthur Lyman. The way he plays, you know he's got the whole band in his head. Note his grip. It is a variation of the traditional grip (inner mallets on top), with two fingers in the middle.
Serenata is an old standard that a pianist introduced to me back in the 1980s. It a great tune to do with a band or all by yourself.
Listening while I work... you guys didn't realize you would be playing in Whoville, did you?
