Fuga y Misterio (Piazzola) by Andrei Pushkarev
Here is another video of my friend Andrei Pushkarev with violinist Gidon Kremer and his Kremerata.
This is Andrei's arrangement of Piazolla's Fuga y Misterio. Sounds good to me!
Enjoy,
James

I may have some of the terminology wrong, as well as the way the song is to be titled, but please bare with this non-musician, while I try to explain what I am looking for.
Recently my 17 yr old son, a junior in high school, played one of Mr. Friedman’s songs, Wind, a solo on the vibe at a percussion bash at our high school. I am assuming the name of the song is Wind. He said something about it being a movement in the book (?) Mirror from Another. I'm sure once you hear the song, you'll automatically know the name of it.
Attached is the Bach chorale "Ach Gott Und Herr" redone/arranged for 4 mallet solo vibes. The original key is Cmaj. These are great for learning theory (voice leading, etc), 4 mallet chording and sight reading. Enjoy.
Can someone please post a video or some easy to follow instructions on how to wrap mallets for those of us that are a bit slow. I want to wrap my own mallets and find a good sound and I think a video on how to do it would be great.
Also, when/if you post it, make it viewable by all members. LOL
I'm subscribing when I get money, I swear!
Thanks,
-Joe Doubleday
This is a video of a classical vibes player (a friend of mine, actually) playing Bach. He studied with the same teacher I did in Ukraine and has virtually made a living playing Bach on the vibes... and a good living at that. He is currently touring with a Latvian violiinst Gidon Kremer, who is very big in Europe.
He plays 'jazz' as well... but it is a more 'planned out' jazz than what most of us strive for.
He has a couple other videos up on youtube but the quality isn't very good.

The band features: Rodrigo Villanueva - drums, Doug Stone - soprano and tenor sax, John Tate upright bass and me on vibes. The list of tunes include: Black Orpheus Part 1 & 2 along with my compositions The Healing, The Last Goodbye, Deep Hearts and Pure Spirit.
