I will be playing Monday Jan 21st at NUBLU in NYC , 62 Avenue C betw 5th &6th , at 9pm ,
it will be a quartet with Marcello Pellitteri on Drums , Loic Blejean on Uilleann Pipes ,
Benito Calle on Bass and we'll be playing original music for a couple of sets.

Here is the first etude of our TOTM, How Deep Is The Ocean. Pdf is attached.

Feel free to look at it, and even if you don't have time to learn it, I will still take any questions about it on Saturday during our class. Enjoy!

A basic version of the melody with some left hand accompaniment. PDF attached.

i tried to take more risks and play it faster than on the video version. the head arrangement is almost the same. i listen a lot to tonys version...and the more i tried the more i adore tony for his 4 mallets,fast playing solo vibes skills.

some things worked out cool on this version some suck...like always...

Another practise I like to do is to take some chords I like from a tune and create different melodies. This is also a one take theme and solo and the reason I do this is because I sometimes want to practise like in a live situation!!

this is some spontaneous ideas played in the vibes. it's one take only so forgive about the "mistakes". I generally believe in the one take solo because it's the real you...(you know what I mean). I like to study tunes like that. Also I like to put different melody in tunes or the other way around. Toy can learn a lot from that.
