Zappa's Rollo Interior Interlude transcription

This is a very interesting and demanding interlude, written by the great composer/arranger Frank Zappa. It is a incredible exercise on playing a single line melody, using uncommon intervals.
This version appeared on the "Apostrophe"album,as part of a tune called "st Alfonzo's pancake breakfast".It begins approximately at 1:09 and it was performed by the great Ruth Underwood.

It is a standard piece in the Zappa repertoire, and it was played by all the percussionists that played in the Zappa band.

Love Is A Planchette (Joe Locke) solo vibes by Ed Saindon

Hello guys and M-N, here's a vid of me practicing the melody of a beautiful composition by Joe titled "Love Is A Planchette". Joe brought the lead sheet when he visited for a rehearsal for our upcoming CD. He'll be here in July at Berklee for a duo concert with Joe and myself playing two vibes. It should be a lot of fun.

This clip is one of three that I posted up on my YouTube page. Pretty funny about my two golden retrievers Gibson and Jackson coming in when I started to play. I'm thinking they either dig or hate it and want me to stop playing. Probably the latter.

Hey all! i just uploaded a gig i recorded last week. It's a bit rough but i thought it was worth sharing, just for fun. As some of you know, i've been playing in the Buenos Aires (Argentina) jazz scene for a couple of years, and i expect to release my first album within this year. Recently i took a few months off from Argentina to reconnect with my homeland (Chile).
