For me, I really enjoy playing these kinds of gigs where the music is more background as opposed to a concert situation. If we can play the music we want and no one bothers us, I'm happy. Hey guys, here's a clip of a recent Sunday brunch gig with clarinetist Billy Novick. We've had the gig a long time and I always look forward to making the drive into Boston on a Sunday morning to play. For many years, I played with the great Herb Pomeroy on trumpet. For me, duo playing is my favorite kind of playing. It allows for so much clarity, spontaneity and interaction.
