Here's another clip from the Sunday brunch gig. I've had many conversations with other players about playing these types of gigs. For me, I really enjoy playing these kinds of gigs where the music is more background as opposed to a concert situation. If we can play the music we want and no one bothers us, I'm happy. I also think that sometimes the music played at these gigs can be better. We can experiment, take chances, try out new tunes and techniques, let the music breathe and let the music go where it wants to go,...

Hey guys, here's a clip of a recent Sunday brunch gig with clarinetist Billy Novick. We've had the gig a long time and I always look forward to making the drive into Boston on a Sunday morning to play. For many years, I played with the great Herb Pomeroy on trumpet. For me, duo playing is my favorite kind of playing. It allows for so much clarity, spontaneity and interaction.
