Does anybody have access to Gary Potters article entitled "Analyzing Improvised Jazz"?
Can you suggest other works of this nature written by players?
I don't have access to any of the College Music Society publications.

Alan from England is at the workshop in Ireland this year. He had on him an original unplayed 75 of Milt Jackson's First record ever as a leader.
I love first takes. I love the energy when everything is new. Mike Pinto came over and visited me in The Laboratory and met my gongs. He played brilliantly. I had a total blast.
Anyway, the mics were a little too hot, so it distorts a bit... my parrot was chirping from the other side of the house... all of that. But it was a serious first take. Mike and I didn't talk about what we were going to do; We just started playing and this is what got recorded. This is full-on improvisation.
I hope everyone enjoys it. I sure did.
Peace

Come check out the vibe hang Wednesday night. It will be the culmination of the 4 day workshop in Limerick. So hopefully all the cats will stick around and play. We'll have a rhythm section there as well as (I hope) a special guest. A local vibe player who plays great. He's also lending us his vibes for the week!
