One of the first things I recorded for Tony when I started my lessons with him was a duet with him playing Stella.

I thought that was sooo coool! Playing together with someone who is in Philly. So I decided I'd record that duet again. So here it is. Now also with me on video(well I tried, but didn't work out so well...). And I had to record outside, so you'll have the pleasure of some birds and wind also... well ectually the power in my container hasn't worked for a week so I had to do it like this...

Heres a quick dirty version of your new Etude!

This video is in appreciation of a vibist who plays Monk exceptionally well and has dedicated part of his life to Monk. Although I fractured it badly, or should I say butchered, the intent is there to celebrate this man's (Tony) 50th birthday. Anyway I was rushed and didn't plan out very well what I was going to do. It should be noted that BIAB Real Tracks will not pedal bass on the head and also will not break the walking bass during the fours.

Carla contacted me a while back and wanted to get together to record a song which we could post here on your birthday. She picked "I Only Have Eyes for You". She's a sweety, not to mention a very wonderful singer.

Anyway, I did an arrangement and she came over to The Laboratory and we recorded it. Of course, I fired up the gongs. These days, I just can't get away from those darned things.

So, consider yourself "gonged" on your 50th!!
