La Fiesta 2015 Piano/vibe duo

aloha and happy Holidays to everyone!!!!!!

this last weekend i had the great pleasure of playing the great Arranger and Pianist Mr. Tommy James. Tommy is a wonderful cat and incredible musician. I you don't know this name or his playing you may have heard him with the duke elliington orchestra, Roy Ayers or you may have heard one of his symphonic arrangements .

I had the chance to record us on this gig in honolulu .. just a Zoom record placed on the floor in between us, then send to a friends studio to mix and sparkle it up.

New Video!

Hi folks,
Wanted to share a new video fresh of the press of my electric trio with Ari Hoenig and Massimo Biolcati. Love playing with these guys and it was nice to finally go into the studio and get some footage. Please comment, share, and join my Youtube channel if you dig it.
Thanks for watching,

Free Verse and Photos in the Key of Jazz

Hi Everyone,
Well, after months of fun work had by me, I have finally released my book "Free Verse and Photos in the Key of Jazz." In it there are 36 verses built entirely of jazz tune titles, a format that is completely original and my crazy idea. They vary from the shortest with four titles to the longest with 73, "My Little Brown Book." Each one centers around a theme. E.g., "Alexander's Ragtime Band" includes characters like "Mingus Fingus" and "Mack the Knife." Even the poem titles are song titles.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Xmas (arrangement)

Is it too early for Christmas tunes?

I usually break out my Christmas book around this time of year, but somehow I never get around to really learning some of the better tunes. I thought I would change that this year and try learning a few, playing them in different keys, coming up with interesting changes, etc.

Here's my attempt on "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas".
