Cute with BIAB 121020 by BarryK

I am continuing to build a repertoire for my upcoming accordion/guitar jam. I am working on Cute, one of my first up-tempo tunes.

In this arrangement, I decided to try chord melody. I threw in some of Behn's sequential ideas on a couple of the changes.

Suggestions are solicited, especially suggestions on arranging vibes along with two chordal instruments, like accordion and guitar. i.e., when they comp for me, should I just play lines, or can I also add accompaniment, like I did in this version?

Thanks,
Barry

One of my students plays Friedman no2 From the Dampening & Pedaling book

My students love this book. In this video, one of my students plays the number 2 and I thought to post it here in order to hear the opinion of the person who wrote it (not just me) and ofcorse from other players. He is a very hard-working guy and also a great drummer. So, Mr Friedman...what do you think. He is going to work more on that etudes and hopefully make his own ones.
Thanks

Dimitris

Victor Feldman website

Finally, a website celebrating the musical genius of Victor Feldman (1934-1987), multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire and one of England's greatest exports! You've heard him on countless film scores, records, he contributed greatly to Steely Dan's recorded work and so much more. We lost him a quarter of a century ago at the young age of 53.
