Blue in Green by the Mackay/ Zalabak Duo
This is a version of Blue n Green that my friend and bassist John Zalabak and i did last night in preping for a upcoming duo gig. check out the use of upper structure Triads especially on the Bbmaj7#11, the use of altered scales on the flat9 dominant chords and also some nice intervallis sequences in the vibes .. enjoy

Get a (new) grip?
Greetings everyone. As some of you might know, I'm an adult student getting back to mallet playing after being away for many, many years. Used to have a marimba. Played lots of classical music. Now the proud owner of my first vibraphone. I'm having an absolute blast! Definitely trying to aim at jazz soloing, comping, ect on the vibes.
