A good exercise for minor/dominant vocabulary.
I feel like i've been on a treasure hunt lately. I've been looking for grad schools to apply to for Jazz Vibraphone (graduate level). Im not finding a big list here, and was hoping some of you guys would have a better idea as to wear i could consider applying?
So far i know of: Manhattan (locke), UArts (miceli), Queens (rafalides).
Know of any others?
When you come into rehearsals what do you expect to happen? Do you have order to your rehearsals? Is there a leader, or does everyone just work together?
For me personally, i prefer to walk in with a set idea of what to do. Whether its running through tunes we as a group are all familiar with, or running through an arrangement idea someone had.
My practice space mascot. Needed something to replace that picture of vibe springs I posted earlier.
Two springs hooked together.
Anyone going to see Gary play on the 27th?? Maybe we get one big table??
If you are going leave a comment below, maybe we can get a count.
Here's info on tickets:

I recorded this with Mark;s bass line after I got the count in sorted, and put a harmony line on top, tried to keep it strictly to the notes but of course played few pinky's anyway here it is. Comments welcome

Hi Everyone,
October's Good Vibes will air on Sunday, October 2 (8-10pm eastern) and rebroadcast on Wednesday, October 5th (4-6pm eastern). This edition is dedicated to Terry Gibbs, who celebrates his birthday October 13th. I will open each of the first three half hours with a Gibbs recording, and close the two hours with his version of "Flying Home."
