This picture is so much like Dimitri (even though he's calm and still here!)! Dimitri is from greece and never comes without some good Greek food from his mother to share with us... but also with his funny jokes, happy moods... and awesome playing that has so much improved the past few years!! Go Dim!!! We all love you mad Greek Geek!! :o)
ps: one of Dim's friend living in Germany also came to the workshop: Costas. But I have no picture of him. I hope he comes back next time!

Here is Tjaco from the Netherland with our great bassist for the vibe hang: Andreas!
Tjaco is one of Tony's very first students from abroad... at a time the site would not even exist and when they would exchange lessons and exercices on casettes! haha!! Go Tj!!! :o)

Here comes Tarik (Germany) with Tony: can I say Tarik is now one our "veterans" at workshops (and on the site)? I know that would make John laugh! ;-) Anyway Tony calls him our "Poster Child". He's one living proof of how much you can get learning with the VW team!

This is Israel from Spain. We alreday know him from a few workshops, but this time he spent 2 days traveling to be there with us! Respect Tio!!! :o)

We also had Mathias Haus who teaches in the school as special 'guest'! (even though he was "at home") :o) All this made a great bunch of teachers for this year!

We had Florian doing a nice course on duo cooperations with his guitarist friend. We also had a great concert in the evening with the two of them. Thanks for the inspiration guys!! :o)

Hi All-

My band, Nós Novo, is returning to Shapeshifter Lab in Gowanus this Friday, March 1st, at 8pm; more info can be found at www.jamesshipp.com. Here's a new video of the band from our gig last October on the lower east side. The tune is called 'Molly Bawn.'

It's a traditional song from Ireland, sung here by Jean Rohe, with support from Gilad Hekselman on guitar, Rogério Boccato on percussion, and Ivan Goff on wooden flute. Hope you enjoy.
