I would like to invite musicians and non musicians around Philadelphia to come to my graduate recital, 23rd of November 7:30 pm at Caplan recital hall (211 S Broad St 17th Fl Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19107).
Thank you
Dimitrios
This etude combines the shout to this tune, along with a few chords intertwined. Enjoy!
Here's a simple but effective idea of using 2 triads to make lines over a dominant harmony. Seems obvious, but I like the way it sounds.

Hey Guys,
Tony suggested me to upload a solo tune per week. so i'mtrying to do a regular thing here. (i call it Haukes TOTW. ;)).
This week i choosed Burt Bacharachs Alfie. - Its not a typical Jazz tune i guess, but i love it. its so beautiful.
i played it without improvisation, i just played the head twice and put it in different keys.
tell me what you think.

Please note that in the audio, I keep referring to the half diminished chord in measure 25 as "diminished", but I really meant and even played HALF diminished! Haha!
Solo vibraphone rendition of Astor Piazzolla's beautiful composition Chiquilin De Bachin.
Just discovered him. Enjoy !
